Does that also include the real-life 13-year-old in Idaho who recently gave birth yet had no say in her own medical care? Her mother is AWOL, living in a car somewhere, and her grandmother legal guardian is in jail. Her great-aunt, with whom she lives (the father is also a teen and in juvie somewhere), could not give the hospital permission to examine the girl when she was having early contractions and Grandma had to be called in jail for that (I think they got ahold of her something like two hours later). After the baby's birth, this 13-year-old still had no say over her own medical care (legal guardianship was transferred to her aunt) yet she's responsible for medical decisions of her own baby because PARENT.
