What? What! Y'all need to move to Arizona because we are NOT for the late confederacy. Those people are all in the south eastern states. Many think "the war between the states" is still going on. Plus we have a lot more Caly in us than anything else at this point.
Yeah, I had a fun conversation with one guy (a Québécois a moved to Texas) explaining that "the south" does not mean all states in the southern half of the country. Sure, you might say it means "any state (or a territory at the time) that was part of the Confederacy" which would include Arizona and Texas, but the states conquered from Mexico have a very different history and culture than Anglo-Saxon aristocrats of Mississippi, Alabama, and the like.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who would LOVE to move to a blue state but simply don't have the means—largely because most of those really red states are at the bottom of the list of states where life is better (education, jobs, wages, healthcare, quality of life, etc.). It's pretty difficult to simply pick up and move to another state, usually hundreds of miles away—unless you have a van to live in until you find your feet there.
(sorry; this will be our last use of the most pretentious, over-used word allowed in the US this year)
"This year" I assume referring to the Jewish year 5784, which ends tonight.
Weird, just weird. America is such a fucked up country.

Move to a blue state, my good friends!
Before it's too late.
