This is why for 10 years I've been actively promoting the separation into several formerly-American nations which I have dubbed: Pacifica (CA, OR, WA), Atlantica (New England), and Midgard (the upper Midwest).

But yes, if someone is not exhausted by all this or at least fed up, then we do think they ought to split off to their own nation, while the sane among us forge a new and better country. If only there was a road map for doing that?
Hmm...something...something like a sequel to The Split, perhaps. But set in the Blue S.A., where good policies and sane governance have been allowed to flourish. Something like that?
