OK, you outed me. I confess that I'm an Anti-Social Democrat. 🙃

What Pollyannish drivel.

Trump is so much worse than what’s described here.

And BTW (as EW, maybe SR, has seen from elsewhere), the national Democratic Party is far more part of the problem than of any solution. Relying on Republican major donors and running DINOs limits what they can do or are even interested in doing. Need a party that *doesn’t* prioritize business interests for that.

I could go on but a) I’ve said it all before, b) am wondering why I’m saying anything yet again and c) am nursing a newborn herniated disc (its bris will be a weak from Sunday if I can figure out how to do one for a herniation).

We've been accused of lots of things (OK, a couple of things), but never being Pollyannas. I'm trying to figure out if my feelings should be hurt. (Good luck with your disc.)

Not my first rodeo with the disc thing so I know the hoops to go through, still 🤞🏻 and thanks for the good wishes.

As for the Pollyanna dis, we can stipulate that it was typed while in borderline agony and driven madder than ever by same. If we must 🫪

Chris Christie recounted that Trump told him, "Whether it's true or not, if I say it enough times, it becomes true".

According to Christy, he took this to mean that rump thought the truth actually changes, not that if you say something enough, people believe it, but that it actually changes into truth, which is not a comforting trait for the leader of millions of people to have.

By my very unscientific count, the words "lie" and "liar" didn't get used by Major News Organizations to describe something His Nibs said until well into year three of Trump 1.0. Sure, commie rags like The Nation and Mother Jones probably said it, and online it became fairly common, if still provocative and a bit shocking but, the print media and broadcast and cable news crowd largely stuck with their customary polite timidity, behaving, as Tom Wolfe once described them, "The Perfect Edwardian Gentlemen".

You said it. Wait until the AI bubble bursts, and they call the ensuing calamity "a correction."

I wouldn't bet against that prediction.

The “Kiss my ass, bitch!” AND WALK OUT" thing is one of the greatest things ever. Right up there with " I gave your name to the police" and " I flushed your phone down the toilet"

Red states can't leave the union they can't survive without the tax money from all the productive blue states and they know this and why the Republicans have ditched their small government thing that was their main plank of the party. You can't force blue states to hurt minorities and the poor without a strong federal government!
